FLM — Sheung Wan

Hong Kong’s premiere LGBTQIA+ venue is located in the heart of Hong Kong in Sheung Wan, and is known to be a jolly good time.

The couch area is specifically great to cosy up with your partner while enjoying their delicious yakitori and oysters.

This vibrant metropolis is not just a powerhouse of culture and finance. Get a taxi or take a scenic walk from Repulse Bay to enjoy all the glory of the sun and sand.

Hong Kong LGBTQ+ events that you will want to experience - Pink Dot Hong Kong, which started in 2009, inspired by its Singaporean counterpart, to champion the LGBTQ+ community.

Expect alternative tunes from both local and international talents.

The Cloakroom — Causeway Bay

Not new to the lesbian bar scene, The Cloakroom is a lounge for the girl’s girls.

People come here for the fun vibe and affordable but award-winning cocktails. Sexy mixologists are on hand to serve up affordable signature cocktails. They also host singing competitions where the best singers can stand to win bottles, so keep an eye on their socials.

One of the newer additions to Hong Kong’s lesbian bar scene, this hidden speakeasy-style bar in Causeway Bay caters to those who want skillfully crafted, Instagram-worthy cocktails.

Known for its affordable cocktails, the bar happily doesn’t enforce a cover charge or minimum consumption – temper expectations about the quality of the tipples, but at least they’re cheap so you can drink to your heart’s content.

Virus

Virus has been in the business since 1997 and has moved to various locations in Hong Kong Island over the years.

This isn't an official gay beach, but is the top spot for gay and queer sunbathers. During the daytime, Vivere offers Italian food that people can dig into. Their award-winning cocktails will invite you in but the too cool for school vibe and array of people with diverse stories will keep you there.

Homosexuality was legalized in 1991 in Hong Kong, and although gay marriage still isn’t, being queer is no longer the taboo it once was.

As the name suggests, this is very much a singing-focused venue, with the vibes of an upscale karaoke lounge.
